I planned on taking a year long, self funded sabbatical. Six months leading up to my last day, I started feeling the pressure release little by little. Knowing that I was going to have the freedom and flexibility to choose what to do next was liberating and terrifying at the same time. Once I started my sabbatical I felt a sigh of relief. I finally had space to think clearly for the first time in years! I was able to intuitively answer the question, “Who do I want to be?” I dove head first into creative work and spent lots of time in my kitchen and at a local makerspace creating just for the sake of creating.
